PayfastPOS, a PayfastOffice / VenueCore Systems platform (“we,” “us,” or “our”), takes the protection of information entrusted to us seriously. This statement describes our commitment to keep confidential information obtained from venues, operators, staff, and customers in the strictest of confidence.
Confidential information includes, without limitation:
We will keep information we obtain in the strictest of confidence and will use it only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the PayfastPOS platform and related PayfastOffice / VenueCore Systems services, or as otherwise required by law.
We will not sell your confidential venue data.
Access to confidential information is limited to authorized personnel and systems with a legitimate need to know. Where support access is granted, it is subject to verification controls (such as one-time codes) and is scoped to the requesting venue. We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information.
We do not disclose confidential information to third parties except: (a) to service providers who assist in operating the platform under confidentiality obligations; (b) with your direction or consent; (c) when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process; or (d) to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users, the platform, or the public.
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements, after which it is deleted or de-identified in accordance with our practices.
